Madalyn Tate, “Proudest Kid in Gaston County”
Madalyn Tate of Bessemer City won the “Proudest Kid in Gaston County” contest sponsored by Gaston Together. Madalyn received recognition at the May 28th County Commissioners Meeting and later was invited by NC Senator David Hoyle to come to Raleigh for a tour. She was honored by the Bessemer City Mayor and City Council at their July 13th meeting. Madalyn read her essay aloud and was presented with a special award from the City congratulating her on her achievement.
